You’re likely already using Instagram for Real Estate, but have you considered using the new kid on the block, TikTok?

TikTok is a great way to reach a wider audience. In fact, it has over 130 million active users in the United States alone. If your target audience includes anyone between the age 13 and 60, you should be on TikTok right now.

TikTok Users: It Isn’t Just for Teenagers

Yes, in the inception of this new social media, it was all younger folks and teenagers. That’s also how Instagram began, and was Facebook’s largest audience once they opened it up to those outside of college students. This is the nature of social media, it starts very young and then rapidly gains adoption.

Now that we’ve established the WHY of TikTok, let’s discuss the HOW. As with any form of marketing, you need to be strategic and organized.

First, identify your target audience: Who are they? What questions do they have? What do they want to learn? The beauty of TikTok is that there, more so than many other social medias, the users are hungry to learn, so teach them what they want to know!

If there are common questions you hear from your leads and clients daily, that’s a great place to start.

Organizing Your TikTok Categories for Real Estate

Now that you have a list of common questions, let’s break it down into categories. Some of the most successful TikTok influencers keep their videos to a few simple categories.

It could be as simple as:

  1. Home Buying Tips
  2. Home Selling Tips
  3. Refinance Tips

Or perhaps your audience is more interested in:

  1. Beautiful Luxury Homes
  2. How to Buy a House
  3. Fixer Upper Homes

Again, this all depends on your unique audience and what you’re passionate about. If you want to be educational and fun, you could even have your categories be:

  1. Homes for sale in your area
  2. TikTok dances inside homes for sale
  3. How to buy a house

As long as you’re being authentically yourself and having fun, people will love it!
